About Morgan Samuel Price
Internationally Renowned Artist & Masterful Instructor
For over five decades, Morgan Samuel Price has captivated the art world with her breathtaking landscapes and unparalleled technical skills. Her journey began at just 15 years old, when she immersed herself in the delicate art of Sumi-e brush strokes, already demonstrating the discipline and precision that would define her career.
After earning her degree from Ringling College of Art and Design in 1968, Morgan embarked on a successful career as an illustrator for Hallmark Cards and later became art director at the News Herald in Ohio. However, her true passion led her to become a full-time fine artist, even when faced with an environment lacking art galleries, museums, or supply stores. While living in Ardmore, Oklahoma, she built a thriving art community from the ground up, inspiring countless individuals to take up painting—transforming the town into a flourishing visual arts hub.
A Legacy of Artistic Excellence & Education
Morgan’s artistic achievements include participation in over 60 national exhibitions and prestigious plein air eventsacross the United States. Her work has been featured in numerous solo gallery exhibitions, and her dedication to the craft extends beyond the canvas—she has written two influential books on oil painting and produced a series of instructional videos that have inspired generations of artists.
Morgan’s deep love for teaching has taken her across the globe, offering workshops, critiques, and mentoring opportunities for artists of all skill levels. Her expertise is sought after by collectors, students, and fellow artists alike.
